Yes, we are accredited with IATAN (International Airlines Travel Agent Network) and members of CLIA (Cruise Line Industry Association), PATH (Professional Association of Travel Hosts), NACTA (National Association of Career Travel Agents) , ASTA (American Society of Travel Agents) and VACATION.COM.
For the most part, airlines no longer pay commissions; however, we do have agreements with preferred airline consolidators for domestic and international flights where a commission can be added. We’d rather encourage our agents to book the more lucrative cruise, tours and destination packages through our preferred suppliers, which can include domestic and international airfares, and may pay a commission when booked as part of a package. We encourage new agents not to enter into this business to sell airline tickets. We are a cruise, vacation and leisure travel agency and we DO NOT issue airline tickets.
Depending on volume and length of time with Ticket to Travel, commission split is anywhere from 75% - 90%. We do pay a bonus commission on group business.
We pay via Direct Deposit to your bank account, on the next pay date and no later than 15 days after receipt of commission check from the supplier and after all travel is completed.
No, we provide you with a subscription to an internet database program, Agent Base Connect. We do require you to enter your bookings into the database so that accounting can identify commission payments. If bookings are entered you will have complete access as to when commissions have been received and paid.
No, your complete back office system and database management program is included as an affiliate with Ticket To Travel. ($25 per month value) This complete easy to use database program will help you with client payment notification, final payment notification, commission tracking, and create invoices for your client’s itineraries and a complete client database, plus much more.
Yes, we offer many training opportunities such as exclusive T2T Webinars, WebEx and other supplier trainings. We also encourage our agents to participate in FAM (familiarization) trips and offer these to our agents on a regular basis. In addition, we will notify you of any upcoming travel conferences that will be of benefit to you based on your niche or specialty. There is also a monthly “Saturday Chat with Anita”.
No. When you work through Ticket To Travel as your host agency, you are covered under our affiliation membership and receive all of the benefits, including e-Marketing and direct mail program, lead generation, annual conferences, regional trainings, and access to AgentUniverse.com
We help you set goals to increase your sales so that you can obtain the IATAN ID card, which identifies you as a bona fide travel agent and is recognized for agent discounts for travel. IATAN requires agents to earn $5000.00 per year in commissions to be issued the IATAN ID card. As you get closer to this bench mark, we will list you on our IATAN Agency list and keep track of your commissions earned. Once you reach the required $5000.00 in earned commissions, you can apply for the card at IATAN.org.
We are an agency member of CLIA but they have established their own criteria and fees for individual agent membership. We can assist you but more information can be found at www.cruising.org
